Sustainable Diets

A sustainable diet considers the types of food we eat, how it is grown, distributed and packaged, and the effects this can have on the planet. Choosing wholegrain foods, beans, pulses, nuts, seeds and fruit and vegetables, and following the Eatwell Guide recommendations is good for our health and for the planet.

Other steps we can take towards having a healthy and sustainable diet include using fruit and vegetables that are in season and reducing food waste.
